Continuous Assessments (70%):
1. Assignment 1: Microsoft Access (10%)

2. Assignment 2: Text Retrieval System (10%)

3. Assignment 3: Web 2.0 Technologies for Library Services (15%) - A mini case study + presentation

4. Assignment 4: Open Archive Initiative (OAI) (15%) - A research paper (10-12 pages assignment on the OAI initiatives)

5. Assignment 5: You are required to create an e-portfolio using a BLOG (20%) - An e-portfolio of the course is a weekly entry reflecting what you have read or done. The e-portfolio is a purposeful collection of student’s work that exhibits the student's efforts, progress, and achievements in one or more areas of the course curriculum. It should represent a collection of students' best work or best efforts, student-selected samples of work experiences related to outcomes being assessed, and documents according growth and development toward mastering the learning outcomes. This e-portfolio would include notes taken during the lectures/discussions/lab activities/observations made on the use of technologies for library and information management, as well as from relevant materials.

Final Examination (30%): 3 essay-type questions
